"A Trail of Missing Thoughts" - February 2008
In the fall of 2007 we stumbled into a hidden spot in Victoria BC called the Audio Garage where we spontaneously decided to record this CD. It's packed full of the usual heart break and ache, musings on life in general and expressions of love for this country, what we do and who we meet in it. It was also our first Gruffly produced album and was engineered by the lovely Winston Lanyon at the Audio Garage and mixed by the fabulous Matthew James and Winston himself.

The long awaited next installment of 'The Gruff - A History in Music', otherwise known as our third full length CD, is finally here! We are happy as stink and proud to say that once again we had the pleasure of collaborating with our lovely producer Adrian Dolan *insert applause here*. We were also super happy to get a crowd of amazing guest musicians into Adrian's studio and onto our CD. These guests include:  Tania Elizabeth, Steve Dawson, Old Man Luedecke, Kendal Carson, Mike Kraft and Adam "melt-my-heart" Dobres. The album itself is the story of a chapter in our lives. It includes the usual heart-ache, back-ache, head-ache as well as bliss and happiness all tied together with general musings on the whole package of life contained quite nicely in 14 tracks. They are:

"pre-release."  We decided to release seven songs from our third album (to be released in Fall 2006) a little bit early.  These limited edition CDs will only be available in late July/early August 2006 at the Islands Folkfest in Duncan BC (July 21-23) and Artswells in Wells BC (Aug 4-7.) They were designed and lovingly fashioned in a fit of boundless creativity from old pants, cowboy shirts, assorted house-hold items and bits of ribbon; making each one unique. 
 

SOLD OUT!! "A Goat on Every Floor" was made possible by the Canada Council of the Arts and has been awarded The "100.3 The Q! Album of the Year" award at the 3rd Annual Island Music Awards in Victoria in May 2004.  We recorded A Goat on Every Floor with our good friend Adrian Dolan who plays with The Bill's (formerly The Bill Hilly Band).  It was mastered by Joby Baker at Baker Studios.  The most exciting thing about this CD (besides the influence of Adrian, and the greatest graphics ever seen) is that unlike our first CD, A Goat on Every Floor is full of original music!
