Phaedra Kemp
Teamed up with The Blue Cannon and Smash, Phaedra hits, kicks and sings her way through Gruff shows with style and grace. Her name comes from Greek mythology but she comes from Canada. Phaedra’s taste for traveling the country developed at the earliest of ages as she was born into a military family. Since then a lot of things in her life have changed but her love of traveling Canada has not. She discovered that music was pretty cool in highschool behind the drum kit in jazz band. After trying her hand at a number of instruments she settled on a few favourites including drums, guitar and harmonica, two of which you’ll see her playing at Gruff shows at the same time! If she's not playing with The Gruff or writing songs she’s probably in the sewing room whipping up a cowboy shirt or playing drums with MD Wren and the Sick Kids.
